High School 9-12
GRAVA's high school program offers a full slate of online courses aligned to Grand Rapids Area Schools graduation requirements, on the Imagine Edgenuity platform. Each student chooses a home high school — Grand Rapids High School or Bigfork High School — and earns a diploma from the school they choose. Students can attend fully online or choose a hybrid model that pairs online academics with one in-person course or elective.
What a typical day looks like: Students carry a full schedule — generally six online courses plus a study hall, about an hour of work per course per day — and move at their own pace within weekly targets. A hybrid option pairs online courses with one in-person class (families arrange transportation). Counselors support academic planning and graduation tracking, and study-hall time builds in space for homework and tutoring.
Why families choose GRAVA High School:
- Real teachers, real support. Licensed teachers, on-demand tutoring seven days a week, and counselors for planning and graduation tracking.
- Flexible and hybrid. Fully online or blended with in-person courses, athletics, or activities — a fit for work, sports, and family life.
- A real diploma. Students earn a Grand Rapids or Bigfork High School diploma, with courses on the same official transcript as in-person classes.
- A Grand Rapids path. District Special Education and English-Learner services, with IEP case management from Grand Rapids teachers.
Only with GRAVA: GRAVA students can take part in Grand Rapids Area Schools activities, families may elect in-person options such as music and band, and students earn a Grand Rapids or Bigfork High School diploma — benefits not available through outside online providers.
