Who Can Enroll
Live within Grand Rapids Area Schools boundaries — not currently enrolled: Families who live within the Grand Rapids Area Schools boundary but are not currently enrolled should complete the online enrollment process.
Live within Grand Rapids Area Schools boundaries — currently enrolled in a GRAS school: If your child currently attends a Grand Rapids Area Schools school and you wish to enroll in GRAVA, contact GRAVA Principal Sean Martinson at smartinson@isd318.org or 218-327-5700, ext. 41040 to start the process.
Live outside Grand Rapids Area Schools boundaries — open enrollment: Families who live outside the Grand Rapids Area Schools boundary should complete an Open Enrollment Application along with the online registration.
Enrollment Requirements
To complete enrollment, please have the following ready:
- Address and phone number of residence
- Immunization records for each child
- Student records from the previous school (if available)
- Name, address, and phone number of the last school attended
- Birth certificate or official certificate of age (kindergarten enrollment only)
- Family income information or SNAP (food support) case number (if applying for meal benefits)
Additional Information
- In Minnesota, children are eligible to attend kindergarten when they are five years old on or before September 1 of the year school starts.
- After you apply, an appointment is scheduled with your student and family and GRAVA Principal Sean Martinson to discuss programming — and, for grades 6-12, to set the student's academic schedule.
